It’s amazing how much has changed in only a few weeks. This supermarket retail study shows just how much impact constant panic buying has had and how it’s so bad the Australian Prime Minister has asked everyone to STOP HOARDING. But it seems that message is falling on deaf ears. I use my Google Review photos to show just how different the shopping experience is now Vs just a short time ago. What I see now is even the junk food and frozen food area is stripped out. It’s near impossible to buy the basics and the retail chains have had to suspend both home delivery and click and collect services because of the reduced stock due to the mass panic buying. There is now an early morning time for pensioners to shop for one hour but often this leaves the supermarkets with little stock left for general shoppers. I see the same people taking more and more TP each day. How much do people need? This mass over purchasing is cause and effect of the empty shelves syndrome that’s not going away.
It’s worth hearing what PM Scott Morrison is doing, the ABC news video sets up the direction Australia is taking.
