The Pittsburgh Steelers welcomed an emerging Cleveland Browns team to Heinz Field Sunday. The AFC North leaders were out to prove a point in the first half and did so with a dominant performance. After kicking a field goal on their initial drive, Pittsburgh returned the first of two Baker Mayfield interceptions for a touchdown. The Steelers pass rush has been all over Mayfield, which has led to some really bad decisions from the quarterback. Conversely, Ben Roethlisberger has thrown for 123 yards, including a 28-yard touchdown pass to James Washington.
The Steelers carry a 24-7 lead into the locker room. Cleveland gets the ball first in the second half.
Pittsburgh had three sacks in the first half. There has been no sign of lingering animosity between Myles Garrett and the opposition following last year’s helmet incident with Mason Rudolph. Linebacker Devin Bush left the game with an apparent knee injury, and his return is questionable.
