Under Armour is boosting its minimum pay rate for hourly store associates by 50% in the U.S. and Canada starting June 6.
The rate will increase from $10 to $15 an hour and more than 8,000 part-time and full-time workers will see a compensation boost, according to a press release.
The increase is part of the retailer’s strategy to boost the employee experience and other initiatives, such as learning and development programs, that will be enacted this year.

Under Armour has more than 3,000 open roles in retail locations and distribution houses, some of which are seasonal and include sales teammates, store managers and stock teammates.
